Income Tax Department has made e-fling with PAN encoded Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) compulsory on Income Tax e-fling web portal from 1st July 2011 onwards for those company whose account required to be audited under u/s 44 AB of Income Tax Act 1961. Since all things are presently converting in digital hence if e-fling is done with digital signature certificate, then there is no need to submit physical copy of e-fling return. Validity of Digital Signature Certificate Class 2:
The validity of Digital Signature Certificate (DSCs) is generally for 1 and 2 years. However DSCs can get renewal after the expiry.
